Little Walter/mic

I recently had the opportunity to talk with Charlie Musselwhite on the
subject of equipment, saying that I was having trouble deciding what sort
of mic and amp to get. He recommended the Shure SM58 or any good voice
mic. When I asked him about the Green Bullet, he said he personally
didn't like the muted distortion and didn't understand why it was such a
popular choice. I said I'd read somewhere that it was supposed to help
you sound like Little Walter. Bullshit was Charlie's response. He
then implied that Walter wasn't concerned about equipment, he'd use
whatever was available or whatever suited him at the moment. -dan
